As is the case for most women of history, not much is known about Margaret except through her husband's story. Her resting place hasn't yet been verified yet, but it has been assumed by family to be in the unmarked grave next to her husband, Eusebius, who died four years before her. A few of her children and her brother are also in this cemetery.

Margaret's father, Bryant Linnen, Sr., came to Georgetown, Maine from Ireland. Her mother, Mary Lindsey was born and raised in Georgetown, Maine. Margaret has one known sibling. He was named a junior after his father, Bryant Linnen, Jr. Records show that he was also a reverend. It appears Margaret's brother had at least twelve children to match her own twelve.

On June 27, 1799, Margaret, at age 18, married Eusebius Emerson, Sr. They married in Georgetown, from which they both came. He was the son of a well-known minister and she was the sister of a minister which may indicate that embraced and practiced a spiritual life. Together they had the following children: Mary Shorey (1800), Susanna (1802), Eusebius (1804), John (1807), Holly (Hawley?) (1809), Philena (1811), Joseph David (1814), Margaret E. (1816), Enoch Avery (1818), Ezekiel Harry (1820), Ruth W. (1822) and Aaron Wass (1825).

The last known record of Margaret Peggy is the 1850 Census. Her death is either within 1850 or after.
