Mrs. Jessie Taylor Howard, 53, wife of Liston H. Howard who lives near Andrews, died at Kelly Memorial Hospital this afternoon, September 7, 1951, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Spring Gully Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Cullen Poston of Hyman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Howard was formerly of Berkeley County and was a daughter of the late J. W. and Annie Murry Taylor.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Taylor of Georgetown; seven sons, Monroe Taylor and Harvey Taylor of Georgetown, H. O. Taylor, Marvin Taylor, G. D. Taylor, Theron Taylor and LaVerne Taylor of Andrews; nine sisters and four brothers and 11 grandchildren.

(Note: Her children's surname should have been Howard, not Taylor, in her obituary.)
