In the Charlotte (Mich.) Leader of a recent date we find the following. The young lady was a cousin of Mrs. Shelby Baker of South Livonia and had other friends in this vicinity. The Leader says: Nellie Hartson, after a year and a half of constant suffering, breathed her last at her home Saturday afternoon at the age of twenty-two. Having lived in Eaton since early childhood she has made many acquaintances, only to be loved and respected by all. Two years ago as a student in the Charlotte schools, over tasking herself with her studies produced disease, which, after preying slowly but surely on her life, culminated in death on the day mentioned. A favorite in society, a devoted Christian, a faithful member and teacher in Sabbath-school, she has gone to reap the harvest sown by a true Christian life. The funeral, held at Charlotte, was largely attended. The Rev. Mr. Lee, assisted by the Rev. C. S. Fox, of Grand Rapids, officiating.

The remains were brought to South Livonia, and the funeral was held from the residence of Henry Nash yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Mr. Seeley officiating. Mr. Seeley is the pastor of the church which Mrs. Baker attended in Delhi, and came with her daughter to conduct the services. The most Sincere sympathy of the community goes out to the daughter in the loss of her mother, to whom she was so devoted, and to the other relatives.

News from the far west acquaints the many friends of Miss Eleanor A. Baker of her recent marriage to Mr. George A. Gletty of Calispell, Washington on the 25th isnt. The wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Albert Hodgins. As the closing strains of Wagner's wedding march were played by Mrs. Hodgins, the bridal party was formed in front of an arch of beautiful ferns and other June verdure. Here, under the grand towering pines, and amid all of June's loveliness, the nuptial knot was tied. The Rev. Mr.Thompson of Cusick read the Episcopal service, at the completion of which the bride and groom received a warmth of congratulations and good wishes. A wedding breakfast was served, and music and good cheer filled the quickly passing hours, till all too soon bride and groom were escorted to their new home not far distant. This home was in complete readiness for its first occupants, and it is the wish of all that happy and prosperous days may long follow this worthy and estimable young couple. The bride was most charmingly gowned in white voile and carried an arm bouquet of ferns and orchids. She will be remembered as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Baker of South Livonia. Mrs. Hodgins will be remembered as Zella M. Greene, and her marriage took place in Spokane on the 25th of January of this year, to Mr. Hodgins. As girls Miss Baker and Miss Greene were school companions and graduated from the Geneseo normal in the same class.
