William G. "Bill" Sharp, 53, of Lake City, Rt. 2, died last Thursday night, November 5 at Oak Ridge Hospital of leukemia. Mr. Sharp was a brick mason and a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church and the Masonic order. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mr. Sharp at Pine Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Robbins officiating. Burial was in Leach Cemetery. He is survivied by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Ledford Sharp, two daughters: Mrs. Fred Foster of Lake City and Mrs. Edwin Brown of Massachusetts. One son, William H. Sharp of Ohio. Father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Sam T. Sharp of Lake City. Four brothers: Earl Sharp of Florida; Wayne and Roland of Maryland; Charlie Sharp of Lake City. Three sisters, Mrs. Maude Baird (Beard) of Ohio, Mrs. Maynard Smiddy of Lake City and Mrs. Bell Wallace of Lake City. Martin Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
