THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 01/03/1929

Haas, Joyce J. (17 JUL 1915 - 25 DEC 1928)
Miss Joyce Jane Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haas, died of lobar pneumonia at their home in the town of Reseburg, Clark County, Wis. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 1928, after a brief illness. She was born in the town of Worden, Clark County on July 17, 1915, and had reached the age of 13 years, 5 months and 8 days.
Last spring she graduated from St. Bernard's Parochial school, and was a member of the class of '32 of Thorp High School.
All the care and love that skilled physicians and an anxious household could devise and apply for her comfort and assistance were brought into play, out the fiat of Him who rules our incomings and outgoings had been issued and after a brief struggle, despite the prayers and entreaties of all who knew and loved her, their appeals were overruled.
Left to mourn her untimely death are her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Church on Friday morning last, Rev. A. M. Muckerheide officiating, burial taking place in the Catholic Cemetery.
