Arleen Bailey, 80, of Olney, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, June 27, 1997, at her residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Mike Baker officiating. Burial will be in Prior Grove Cemetery in Crawford County. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bailey was born May 13, 1917, in Peoria County, the daughter of Andrew and Leva (Seaman) Saye. She married Arthur "Dick" Bailey. He preceded her in death in March 1962.

She worked at International Shoe in Olney for 37 years and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, William Bailey and his wife Shirley, of Stringtown, Franklin Bailey and his wife, Kathy, of Greenville, Ky., and John Bailey and his wife, Carol, of Dundas; three daughters, Evelyn Novak and her husband, Merle, of Calhoun, Susan Bailey, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Helen "Sally" Ladson, of rural Olney; one brother, Andrew "Bud" Saye Jr., of Bridgeport; four sisters, Mabel Brian, of Sumner, Mary Poselwaite, of Otwell, Ind., Joy Mowrer, of Olney, and Donna Carney, of Calhoun; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two children.
