Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will follow at U a.m. at the funeral home with Nathan Lawless officiating. Burial will be in Prior Grove Cemetery in rural Crawford County.
Mr. Bailey was born on January 15, 1940, in Lawrence County, the son of Arthur "Dick" and Arleen (Saye) Bailey. He married Charlotte Shirley" Weiler.
He was a retired cement mason for Local 143 in Champaign.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Shirley" Bailey, of Dundas; son, William Randy Bailey, of Dundas; two daughters, Darla Rude, of Noble, and Pat Bailey, of Clay City; two brothers, Frank Bailey and his wife, Kathy, of Florida, and John Bailey and his wife, Carol, of Dundas;
three sisters, Evelyn Novak, of Calhoun, Sue Bailey, of Florida, and Sally Ladson, of Georgia; four grandchildren, Dana Watson, Chris Campbell, Cody Campbell and Wesley Bailey; and one great-grandchild, Courtney Haase.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and brother-in-law, Merle Novak.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
