Kerry Kevis Nutt was born 7 January 1944 in Clarksville, Missouri, to parents, James B. and Ina Nutt.
He graduated Quincy high school in Quincy, Illinois. Shortly thereafter, Kerry K. Nutt enlisted in the U. S. Navy.
Kerry K. Nutt worshiped at Calvary Baptist church.
On 24 July 1965, Kerry Kevis Nutt was killed in a vehicular collision while stationed at Olangapo, Phillipines. He died in the Subic Navy Base hospital there.
Reverend Joseph Bower presided at the funeral, held at a Quincy Illinois funeral parlor. The Quincy Naval Reserve unit conducted graveside services at Greenmount in Quincy, Illinois. The military held a rifle tribute graveside.
