Rodney Z. Nutt, 73, of Springfield, IL, died on Friday, April 27, 2013 at 12:46 p.m. at his home. He was born December 21, 1939 to James Dixon and Ina Margaret Hartsock Nutt in Clarksville, MO. Rodney married Jane K. Goveia on May 21, 1962 and she preceded him in death on April 30, 2003. His parents; two sons, Christopher and Todd Nutt; three sisters, Marcia Hale, Vicki Cole and Karen Hunolt and two brothers, Kerri and Donald Nutt also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Troy , three sisters, Roberta , Jayma and Cindy ; five brothers, Robert , Gary , Larry Michael , Dennis and Randy ; one aunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins including his niece, Kim

Rodney was a member of the Anchor Boat Club. He enjoyed gambling, horseshoes, hunting, bowling, wood work, throwing darts and was an avid Illini and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Rodney retired from the City of Springfield Street Department and had also worked for Tri State Floral.

Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
