SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Norman L. Red Bear Sr., 69, Scottsbluff, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Scottsbluff.
Survivors include 11 children, Elizabeth Waters, Martin, S.D., Mary Ann Red Bear, Alliance, Howard Red Bear, Patricia Red Bear, Ramona Red Bear, Harold Red Bear, Norman Red Bear Jr. and Amber Red Bear, all of Scottsbluff, Phillip Red Bear Sr., Oglala, S.D., and Albert Salomon Jr. and Moses Whirlwind Horse, both of Allen, S.D.; 37 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Melda Red Bear, Allen.
Two-night wake services began Saturday, July 23, at the Red Bear residence in Allen, with second-night service beginning at noon today, at the Red Bear residence in Scottsbluff.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Inter Cultural Church in Scottsbluff, with Albert Red Bear Jr. and the Rev. Daniel Brands officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 25, at Fairview Cemetery.
Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, S.D., is in charge of arrangements.
