Though the grave marker seems to indicate an 1840 birth, other information (including an 1870 census) indicates an 1841 birth. Seeking more info.

- Date of death changed from 24 November 1928 to 24 October 1928. Supported by obituary (attached to this memorial) and by a search for his death cirtificate.
HOWEVER, the Death Cirtificate lists the death location as Mount Pleasant, Henry County, Iowa (instead of Milton, Van Buren Co, Iowa).
