Beulah “Bobbie” Buttz, 97, of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, July 24th, 2011 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Beulah Huxtable was born September 15, 1913 near Harrisburg, SD. She grew up on the family farm south of Harrisburg.

On June 26, 1933, she was united in marriage with Delbert Buttz in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived most of their married life in Sioux Falls. Her husband preceded her in death on October 5th, 1993.

Bobbie loved her family and cherished times spent with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She cared for granddaughters Tamee and Shelie before they started school. She kept busy driving them to school, Vacation Bible School, and celebrated Fridays with pizza parties at lunchtime. Bobbie could not get enough peek-a-boo time with Jada and often took her as co-pilot on her lap while wheeling around in her wheelchair. Bobbie was a caregiver, caring for her husband for 30 years who suffered from Parkinson’s disease.

Bobbie was one of the original members of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and summers spent in the Black Hills. Bobbie played in many women’s bowling leagues, one with niece

she was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Huxtable; and two sisters, Gladys Merrill and Irene Swisher.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00am Wednesday at our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 to 7:00pm Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location.

The family request that memorials be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Television Ministry or to Special Olympics.
