BROADWAY

Frank J. Early, 64, of Broadway, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home here Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

Mr. Early was a prominent poultryman and buyer and for a number of years served as buyer for the Bare and Early Poultry Company of Broadway. For a number of years he was also employed by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.

Mr. Early was an active member of the Broadway Fire Company.

Mr. Early was born April 18, 1897, a son of Samuel and Susan Racer Early.

He married Miss Eunice May of Augusta County in 1933 and she survives as does one daughter, Mrs. John Long of Grottoes and one son, Robert F. Early, of Linville; and five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Wise, of Weyers Cave and one half-sister, Mrs. Samuel Kline, of Missouri; two half-brothers, S. W. Early, of Pennsylvania and R. A. Early, of Mt. Crawford.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a. m. from the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Scott Hutton and the Rev. Hugh Dupree will have charge of the services with burial in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Berlin Ryan, Warren Emswiler, Landon Wean, James Martin, Mike Arborgast, Eugene Bare, and Woodrow Whitmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Bare, Ed Lantz, Howard Whetzel, Brown Dove, John Ed Helbert, Harry Driver, Wade Hill, Irvin Layman, Cletus Simmons, Fred Black, Bun Williams, John Alger, W. M. Hulvey, E. S. Long, and Glen Emswiler.

The family will be at the Rhodes Funeral Home from 8:00 until 9:00 p. m. Monday to receive friends.

A brief service will be held at the funeral home at 10:45 a. m. Tuesday prior to leaving for the church.
