John William Edsezell Aday, 76, of Muscle Shoals, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, in the funeral home chapel, with Wayne Green, David Conley and Scott Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Mr. Aday was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from the military and then retired from TVA as a mail carrier. He was a member of DAV Chapter 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Herbert and Carrie Mae Aday; brothers, Orville, Howard, Buford, James and George; and sister, Virginia Gasque. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Mae King Aday; son, William Dewite Aday; daughter, Bonnie Sue Aday Teague; brothers, Jackson Aday, Billy Aday, Russell Aday and Ernie Aday; sisters, Brenda Jackson, Bessie Speegle, Barbara Jones and Faye Wilkes; grandchildren, Angel Parker, Kristy, Ruby Ann, Jonathan and Chelsea; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Frankie Teague, Tim Parker, Ashton Alexander, Jonathan Aday, Barry Aday and Ronald Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be Robin Speegle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosie Mae Aday. Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
