STENSTROM - Miss Mary Stenstrom, 96, 612 Oak St., died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 1971, in Rockford Municipal Sanitarium after a long illness. Born Oct. 30, 1875, in Smoland, Sweden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustaf Stenstrom. Lived 72 years in Rockford, coming here from Sweden. Employed as a mender by Nelson Knitting Co., where she worked until she was 82 years old. Survivors include: three nieces, Miss Evelyn Stenstrom, Mrs. Edna Fritz, and Mrs. Ora Dunn, all of Rockford, and several other nieces and nephews.
Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fred C. Olson Mortuary, 1001 2nd Ave., with Dr. O. Garfield Beckstrand, pastor, of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. No visitation.
