Lonnie was the second of seven children born to David Anderson and Fanny L. (Kivett) Burgess. He married (1) Mary Ellen Denson. He later married (2) Minnie Whaley.

RAMSEUR - Lonnie M. "Sil" Burgess, 100, of 723 Eastern Randolph Road died Saturday, July 1, 1995.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel in Ramseur.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur.
