Mr. Baker was seventy eight years old the day of his death. He was a native of Tattnall county, and spent his entire life in this section, where he was engaged in farming. His wife, who survives him was Miss Nancy Kicklighter.

He is also survivied by five sons, Luther Baker, Elton Baker, Leland Baker, R.E. Baker and Barney Baker of Glennville; one daughter, Mrs. W.H. Mann of Glennville; three brothers, Miles Baker, Andrew Baker, and Manning Baker, of Glennville; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Laracy of Glennville.

Obituary transcribed by Kay Parrish Thompson(46967117)

Son of Daniel William Baker and Lourana Kicklighter.. Husband to Nancy Eveline Kicklighter (1881-1962)

According to the 1900 Census F. Decatur also married Sarah H.(last name unknown to me) in 1890 and they show an "adopted child, Anna Standfield . Anna was born in 1893.
Their nearest neighbors were Stanfields, with A. Stanfield being head of household (a widower with several children). It is possible that Anna is from that family.

Mr. Baker is buried next to some of his children but with neither of his wives.
