Mrs. Annie Agnes Batdorf, nee Arnold, 113 E. Cumberland St., died Saturday at 11:15 p.m. at her home. The widow of Thurman F. Batdorf, she was aged 78.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rosery Society, the Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and the National Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by six children as follows: Joanna, wife of Clair Carberry, Hershey; Elsie, wife of Louis Jura, Waterford, N.Y.; Dorothy, wife of Clarence Hess, Harrisburg; Thurman J. Batdorf, at home; Robert J. Batdorf, Palmyra and John A. Batdorf, Lebanon.
Eighteen grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Pyles, Manheim, West Va.; Mrs. Catherine Batz, Cleona; Mrs. Sarah Lohr, York and a brother, Robert Arnold, Cornwall.
She was a daughter of the late Adam and Joanna Bixler Arnold.
