Mrs. Catherine M. Batz, 78, of Lebanon RD 4, died at 2:45 a.m. today in the Lebanon County Hospital. Her husband, Hiram J. Batz, preceded her in death in 1934. Born in North Annville Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Joanna Arnold. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, of Annville; the Rosary Society of the church, and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by seven and two daughters: Andrew Pyles, Lebanon; Herbert Batz, Annville RD 1; Adam, Edward and Paul Batz, all of Lebanon; Joseph Batz, Annville RD 2; Robert Batz, Lebanon RD 4; Miss Sara Batz, of Danville, Pa., and Catherine J., wife of Frank Furness, of Harrison, N.J. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sara, wife of George Lahr, of York, Pa., and Mrs. Mary Pyles, of Manheim, W. Va., and a brother, Robert A.
