GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1918
Mrs. A.H. Calhoon died at her home on the Campbellsville Pike just north of our city, of apoplexy. She has been an invalid for years from the effects of an accident, and was found dead in bed on the morning the 22nd. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a kind neighbor and a lifelong member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She leaves sorrowing aged husband, 4 daughters and 3 sons, Mesdames P.M. Marshall, James S. Marshall, Alvin Marshall, Miss Ida Calhoon, Messrs. Will A., Joe and James Calhoon, and a host of grandchildren; also 2 sisters and 3 brothers, Mesdames J.A. Hamilton and Mrs. E.J. Hudson, Messrs James, Richard and Ezra W. Hagan. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church here, the impressive service being conducted by Rev. L.B. Hart, the pastor, after which the remains were escorted to the Greensburg Cemetery by a large number mourners and sympathizing friends, where they were tenderly laid to rest and covered with beautiful flowers. - supplied by Francie Ede
