Edison Lee Stephens

Edison Lee Stephens, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at his residence in Jodie, W.Va.

He was born March 3, 1937, in Russell Springs, Ky. His parents were Jonah and Riffi Mae (Wilson) Stephens. He married Rose (Horrocks) Stephens. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Michelle White of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Angie Shamblin of Gauley Bridge, W.Va.; two sisters, Mayvelline Smith of Edinburgh and Maurice Gadberry of Muncie; two brothers, Rod Stephens of Franklin and Johnny Stephens of Shelbyville; and two grandchildren.

He was self-employed as a coal-truck driver.

The Rev. Norman B. Niemeyer will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Funeral Home Chapel in Gauley Bridge, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rich Creek Cemetery in Jodie, W.Va.
