He was discharged May 23, 1863 at Camp Dennison, OH on a Surgeon Certificate of Disability. His name in on the base of the Civil War soldier statue at Kipton, OH. He relocated to Washington Twp., Gratiot County, Michigan by 1870. His wife's name was Jennie(1851-1915), born in Michigan. She is buried next to him.
