Carl CHAPMAN, 73, Plymouth, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Parkview hospital, that city. For many years, Mr. Chapman resided six miles southeast of Argos where he was engaged in
farming.
Friends may call at the Umbaugh funeral home at Argos after 7 p.m. today. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Carl CHAPMAN, 75, Plymouth, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Umbaugh funeral home at Argos. The Rev. HORNICK of Plymouth will
officiate and burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery. Members of the Spanish-American War and the Argos American Legion Post will conduct rites at the graveside.
Mr. Chapman was born in Argos, Feb. 2, 1880. His parents were Monroe and Lavinah (FISH) CHAPMAN. In 1904, he was married to Della MILLER, who died June 1, 1946. His second marriage, in September, 1947, was to Eva BALL, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Gerald CHAPMAN, Lakeville, and Roy A. CHAPMAN, Toledo, O.; a daughter, Mrs. Bernice STRAUB, South Bend; one step-daughter, Mrs. Robert MOORE, Plymouth; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Earl CHAPMAN, Mentone; Charles CHAPMAN, Brook; M. CHAPMAN, Hinsdale, Ill; Russell CHAPMAN, Rochester; Mrs. Audrey COLE, Goodletsville, Tenn.; Mrs. Jessie CALLIS, Martinsville, and Mrs. Clifford SHOEMAKER and Miss Mable CHAPMAN, both of Rochester.
