She was born in Farmington, Utah, on July 8, 1860, a daughter of Truman Leonard and Mary Ann Meadows Leonard. She was raised and educated in Farmington, Utah.
Alice married Willard K Welling on January 22, 1884 in the Logan LDS Temple. They settled in Fielding, Utah, where she was always an active member of the Fielding Ward. She served as the first Secretary of the Fielding Ward Primary, and as the 1st Counselor in the Ward YLMIA and for many years she was a Visiting Teacher for the Relief Society.
She is survivied by the following sons and daughter: Truman Leroy Welling, Salt Lake City, Utah; Willard M, Leonard Y and Allen K Welling, all of Fielding, Utah; and Mrs Geneive Miller, Great Falls, Montana; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs M A Garn, Fielding, Utah.
Burial was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
