Letitia Lee Barber was the 1st ( of 4 ) children born to Samuel R. & Harriet (Wamack) Barber. She was born in Wisconsin.

Lettie came to Tennessee, Illinois with her parents when she was 9 years old and with the exception of a few years in Kansas and Iowa, she spent her life in McDonough County and the last 35 years of her life have been in Fandon.
