Thomas Ray Peel, born January 12, 1931 to John H. & Esther Matson Peel on the Peel Homestead southwest of Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Tom passed away at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center July 3, 2011, due to complications from pneumonia. He enlisted in the US Navy December 26, 1950, serving until October 26, 1954. Tom married Bonnie Hansen in Salt Lake City in 1957. He worked at Kennecott Copper Mine, Thermoid, and L & M Trailer Manufacturers. He also owned and operated American Cleaners in Mt. Pleasant. He was a farmer and a cattle rancher. He had a great love for horses and the mountains. Tom was a great cook, leather craftsman, and gardener. His greatest love was his family and the outdoors. Tom was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, daughter Pam (Terry) Oak Creek, daughter Sharleen (Sam) Nicosia, Salem, son-in-law David Bailey, Bluffdale, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Esther Randall, Mt. Pleasant, and many nieces and nephews.

Tom is preceded in death by his daughter Suzanne Bailey, parents John & Esther Peel, sisters; Mary, Lucille, Florence, Linda, and Fern. Brothers; Jack, Perry, Owen, Grant and David.

Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward LDS Church (55 S. State) Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11 am A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Rasmussen Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant from 6:00-8:00 pm. A viewing will also be held prior to services at the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel from 9:30-10:30 am; Thursday, July 7, 2011. Interment will be in the Mt.
