Clark's Hill, Indiana - April 18 - James H. Moore died at his home here last evening at 10:45 o'clock following a lingering illness. Death was due to a complication of diseases and old age. Deceased was born in Ohio in 1838 and had lived in Clark's Hill for many years. He served during the Civil War as a musician with the Eighty-sixth Regiment, Company D. He was married to Sarah E Johnson at the close of the Civil War. She died twelve years ago. The deceased was a member of the Christian church, a retired farmer and a man held in high regard by all who knew him. Six children survive. They are Ransome E. Moore, Clark's Hill; Mrs. Mollie Lewis Bryant, Lafayette; Mrs. James B Moore, Lafayette; Mrs. Lura Catherine Smith, Clark's Hill; Irvin C. Moore of Frankfort, and William D. Moore, of Clark's Hill.
