Holyoke Aug. 22-- Mrs. Helena (Sears) Thresher, wife of Harold A. Thresher of Huntington, West Va., died this morning at the home of her sister, Mrs Arvid Anderstrom of 36 Alvin St., Springfield, after a long illness. Born in this city, daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Shea) Sears, she was educated in the local schools. She resided in West Virginia for the past 15 years, and before that lived in Bennington, Vt. Beside her husband, she leaves a son, Harold A. Jr., of Chester, Pa.; a daughter, Miss Gertrude Thresher, in West Virginia; four brothers, Thomas of Cleveland, John of North Adams, William and Edward of this city; six sisters, Mrs. Anderstrom, Mary and Gertrude Sears, Mrs. Agnes Dent, Mrs. Eugene Sullivan and Mrs. Edward Lally, of this city, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place from the John B. Shea funeral home Tuesday, followed by a solemn high mass of requiem in sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
