Henry Monroe Davis, 72, of Fayetteville, died at his home Saturday afternoon. He was born in Huntsville, March 1, 1888, the son of Elijah and Susie Davis and was a farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Etter of the home; two sons, Fay Davis of the home and Raymond Davis, Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Violet Burr, Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Fred Davis, Fayetteville, and Hugh Davis, West Fork; one half-brother, John Davis, Yakima, Wash.; four half-sisters, Mrs. Mag Hodges and Mrs. Nancy Busherman, Mrs. Ida Gabbard and Mrs. Jewell Hutchins; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Elkins Community Church by Rev. Ewell Logue. Burial was in the Mt. Olive cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
