Fred Davis, 87, of Route 5, Fayetteville died in a Fayetteville hospital Thursday, April 16. Born Mar. 17, 1883 in Huntsville, the son of Elijah and Susie Boatright Davis, he was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Counts Davis of the home; two sons, Noah of Ozark and Trant of Farmington; three daughters, Mrs. Della Roberts of Fayetteville, Mrs. Ruth Andrew of Farmington & Mrs. Ruby Drake of Fullerton, Calif.; one brother, Hugh of West Fork; four half-sisters, Mrs. Ida Gabbard and Mrs. Jewel Hudson, both of Fayetteville and Mrs. Nancy Bushman, and Mrs. Maggie Rosebeary, both of Washington State; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Buckner Baptist Church with burial in Buckner Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
