Irma Anna Guiser

Irma Anna Guiser, age 91, of Baldwin died Monday, November 6 at the Baldwin Care Center.

She was the daughter of William and Anna (Larson Brekke) Guiser, born on August 22, 1909 in Martell, Wisconsin. In 1942 she moved to Baldwin. Irma was a life long member of the New Centerville United Methodist Church. Her pride and joy was teaching and she taught in the Spring Valley School District. Irma enjoyed gardening, yard work and watching the Minnesota Twins baseball team.

She was preceded in death by her parents: twin brother, Irwin Guiser; sisters Edna Ford, Florence Jones, and Margaret Nelson. Irma is survived by her sister Dorothy Huberty of Minneapolis; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was Thursday, November 9 at the New Centerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Swanson officiating. The music was provided by Sean Vander Veen as the organist and Mary Jo Swanson as the soloist. The internment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery with Jerry Steinworth, Allan Huberty, Andy Rudesill, Paul Ford, Eric Turner, and Charles Wiff as the casketbearers. Memorials may be directed to the Irma Gusier Scholarship Fund.

Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services of Baldwin handled the arrangements.
