Obituary
Mrs. Richard Jones
Florence Josephine Guiser Jones was born to Anna and William Guiser January 21, 1903 in Martell Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin.
She grew to womanhood attending Kay rural school, River Falls high school and college. She taught many years in northern Wis.
On June 9, 1944, she married Richard Jones of Ingleside, Ill. She resided there until the time of her sudden death. On Sat., Jan.3, she submitted to a gall bladder operation. On Monday, Jan. 5th a blood clot formed and she passed away at 7:30 Monday evening, Jan. 5, 1948.
During her many years of teaching Florence was active in church work. Florence will always be remembered as a warm-hearted, friendly person, yet of quiet disposition. She truly loved her home.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard Jones, her mother, Mrs. Anna Guiser of Baldwin, four sisters, Mrs. Paul Ford (Edna) of Hamoond, Mrs. Epher Nelson (Margaret) of Hammond, Mrs. Jerry Huberty (Dorothy) of Minneapolis, Irma, who is teaching Conroy school near Ellsworth, one brother, Irwin, residing on the home farm at Martell. Her father, Wm. Gusier, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the Skari funeral home in Baldwin and the New Centerville Methodist church with burial in New Centerville cemetery.
Those from a distance to the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. J. Huberty and family of Minneapolis, Arnold Jones of Duluth, Clifford and Hilbert Jones of Grand Marais, Minn.
