Adams Run-- Wilie Otis Ackerman, 83, a self-employed carpenter, died Thursday at his residence. The funeral will be at 3 p. m. Sunday in East Cooper Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel, will be in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ackerman was born in Andrews, a son of Edward R. (sic) Ackerman and Hall (sic) Cannon Ackerman. He was a member of Wando Hunting and Fishing Club and East Cooper Holiness Church. He was the widower of Sadie Mae McCant (sic) Ackerman.
Surviving are two sons, Willie Lee Ackerman of Adams Run and Robert I. Ackerman of Oakdale, Calif., a daughter, Bernice Morris of North Charleston, a brother, Horace Ackerman of Andrews, two sisters, Edith Wilson of Georgetown and Meridith (sic) Walker of Andrews, 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
