Eddie R. Ackerman of 2960 Sambo Lane, Mount Pleasant, a retired carpenter, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Burial will be directed by Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Mr. Ackerman was born Nov. 30, 1912, in Andrews, a son of Eddie B. Ackerman and Lizzie C. Ackerman.
Surviving are his wife, Anna McCants Ackerman; five sons, Ruffie O. Ackerman of North Charleston, William E. Ackerman and Jerry W. Ackerman, both of Goose Creek, Albert E. Ackerman of Mount Pleasant and Ronnie L. Ackerman of Georgetown; four daughters, Margie A. Clark of Goose Creek, Mary A. McClary and Adell A. Sheehan, both of Georgetown, and Rosa A. Freeman of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Willie O. Ackerman of Mount Pleasant, Horace L. Ackerman of Andrews and Jesse Ackerman of Georgetown; three sisters, Edith Wilson, Betty M. Elliot and Myrtle R. Walker, all of Georgetown; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
