Mildred W. Bindley-Hoch, age 91 of King, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home where she resided for the past 19 years. Mildred was born on Jan. 25, 1918 in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Ora (Swearingen) Miller.

Survivors include four daughters, Janet (Bob) Platt of Baraboo, Nancy Hodorowski of Random Lake, Diane (Steve) Keylock of Baraboo, Elizabeth (Mark) Witte of Mount Horeb; six sons, Duane (Pat) Bindley of Richmond, Va., Dennis (Colleen) Bindley of Middleton, Jerry (Janice) Bindley of Blountville, Tenn., Steven Bindley of Fresno, Calif., Bob (Sukie) Bindley of El Paso, Texas, and Dayl Bindley of Tomah; 30 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Scheunemann of Chicago, Ill; sister in-law, Neva Miller of Madison; son in-law, Jim Hill of Crivitz; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Bindley in 1969; her second husband, Lester Hoch; three sons, infant Douglas in 1937, Harry in 2004, and David in 2008; a daughter, Barbara Joan Hill in 2008; and a son in-law, Ed Hodorowski in 2003.

At Mildred's request, private graveside services will take place at a later date. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
