Anthony W. Genovese, 76, of Plymouth Meeting, a retired computer system analyst, who had worked on the ENIAC project, died Tuesday at Suburan General Hospital in East Norriton Township. "My father worked on the [pioneer] computer system, the ENIAC, with Dr. John Nauchly at the University of Pennsylvania", said his daughter, Barbara Ann Miller.

Mr. Genovese was born and educated in Philadelphia and served as an Army Corps Pilot stationed in England in World War II. After the service, he studied at area colleges and worked with Dr. Nauchly. His career as a computer system analyst included more than 20 years as an civilian employee at the former Philadelphia Naval Base and 11 years, until his 1982 retirement at Colonial Penn Life Insurance Co in Philadelphia.

He was a 46-year resident of Plymouth Meeting and a member of the Conshohocken Congregation of Jehovah's Witness.

His wife of 49 years, Alberta Kleinschmidt Genovese died in December.
