We made brief mention last week of the death of Mrs. Alzina Henry, which occurred on Wednesday, March 18. She would have been 70 years ,of age had she lived until last Sunday, and was a well-known resident. She was a daughter of Frank Lyon, a prominent builder of the town, and one of nine children, of whom two brothers, Seth S. and Cyrel C. and one sister, Melissa, are dead. There are also VanFossen Lyon and Mrs. Samantha Waite, of North Cohocton, Hiram, of Michigan and Guy C. and Mrs. Betsey Simons, of this village. Mrs. Henry lost her husband three years ago. She had been kindly cared for in her long illness by her daughter, Mrs. Lucy Whitman, who, together with one son, William, of Hornellsville, are the only children. The deceased was long a member of the Methodist church here and died in the Christian faith. Rev. N. N. Beers officiated at the funeral services on Saturday afternoon and the interment was at Rose Ridge.
