Josie Hudson Paxton, 80, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, [1966], at the Adair County Hospital in Columbia. She was a resident of the Gresham Community of Green County. Mrs. Paxton was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Surviving are six sons: Marshall, Cecil, Oscar, Druard, Calvin Paxton all of Greensburg and Walter Paxton of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters: Miss Christine Paxton and Mrs. Margie Whitlock, both of Greensburg; eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Rev. V. A. Jones, Rev. Walter Swetnam and Rev. Curtis Slinker officiated.
