Josie Hudson Paxton, 80, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, [1966], at the Adair County Hospital in Columbia. She was a resident of the Gresham Community of Green County. Mrs. Paxton was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Surviving are six sons: Marshall, Cecil, Oscar, Druard, Calvin Paxton all of Greensburg and Walter Paxton of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters: Miss Christine Paxton and Mrs. Margie Whitlock, both of Greensburg; eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Rev. V. A. Jones, Rev. Walter Swetnam and Rev. Curtis Slinker officiated. Pallbearers were Kenneth Coffey, Vaughn Coffey, Shirley Coffey, Ellis Coffey, Perry . . .
