Rites held for Mrs. Lillian Roose

Mrs. Lillian Roose, 76, of Clarksville, died Tues. morning Oct. 14, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, Iowa.

Mrs. Lillian Roose was born May 19, 1899 in Butler County, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Miller ) Sinram.

She attended rural Butler County schools and on June 12, 1917 she was united marriage to Martin Roose at Waverly, lA. After their marriage they farmed in Butler County until they retired to Clarksville in 1948.

She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Clarksville, Martha Circle, and the Live and Learn Club. She has been a Butler County resident all her life.

She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Harry (Marjorie) Klinetob, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Brandenburg both of Clarksville; one brother, Glenn Sinram of Clarksville; one granddaughter; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died in 1950, two daughters, one son and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Fri., Oct. 17 in St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville with the Rev. P. C. Matthias officiating. Burial was in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville.
