Sibyl Genell Hogue, 94, of Three Rivers, passed away at home on Thursday, June 16, 2011.

Sibyl's life began on Aug. 20, 1916, in Clarksville, Ark., the daughter of William Andrew and Elzie (Tyler) Linton.

She was united in marriage to Doyle Hogue on Oct. 23, 1935, in Arkansas.

Sibyl was employed by Simplicity Pattern as a book binder.

Her loving family includes: her son, Hollis (Bea) Hogue of Dowagiac; grandchildren, Donnie Payton of Batesville, Ark., Ann Baker of Fort Branch, Ind., Teresa Land of Three Rivers and Brenda Rogers of Lawton; six great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Martin and Virginia Crum, both of Atkins, Ark., and Vivrhea Austin of Plymouth Falls, Ore.

Sibyl is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Wilma Payton, sisters Gertha Cowan, Lucille Linton and Norma Humphreys and brothers J.L., Junior and Amos Linton.

Her family will gather with friends on Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. led by Chaplain Barb Van Eck.

She will be laid to rest in Sumnerville Cemetery
