Florence- Services will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 at the First Baptist Church here for Amos M. Linton, 70, who died Wednesday at Chandler Health Care Center after a brief illness. The Rev. Truman Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Coolidge.
Mr.Linton was born May 2, 1915 in Pope County Ark. He moved to Florence in October of 1943. He retired from the Arizona State Prison after 32 years of service. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Florence.
Survivors include his wife Pearl; his daughters, Barbara A Nichols, Cactus Forest and Linda P. Harville of Lakeside; his sons, Kenneth E of Casa Grande, Lonnie R of Florence, Bobbie A of Coolidge, Glenn D of San Angelo, Texas; two brothers, six sisters, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
