She was an employee of the Pinecrest State School.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Siloam Baptist Church in Gansville with the Rev. L. C. Swanner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Charles C. Whitton [sic Whitten] of Shreveport and Cecil A. Herrell of Cypress, California; two daughters, Mrs. Murvin Mott of Pollock and Mrs. K. D. Futrell of Blanchard; two brothers, James H. Sholars of Waco, Texas and J. R. Sholars of New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. S. D. Avery of Jonesboro, Mrs. L. E. Boyett of Winnfield, and Mrs. Claude O'Bryan of West Monroe; and 12 grandchildren.
