Funeral services were held Thursday in Siloam Baptist Church, Gansville, for Mrs. Minnie Sholars, 90, of Winnfield, who died Tuesday, May 2, 1967 in a local hospital after a long illness.

Elder Lelon Swanner officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Sholars was a former resident of Weston.

She is survived by two sons, J. R. Sholars, Jeanerette, and James Sholars, Waco, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Whitten, Pollock, Mrs. Claude O'Bryan, Calvin, Mrs. L. E. Boyette, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Edna Avery, Jonesboro; a half brother, Willie Johnson, Smackover, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Jane Jones, Cypress Creek; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
