MAUDE FLYNT WELLS
Maude Flynt Wells, 97, a housewife, died Friday, April 25, 1 997 of heart failure at Magee General Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at Sharon Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wells was bom in Covington County in 1900. She moved with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Flynt to the Athens Community near Magee in 1902. She was the last of eleven children in her family.
In 1921, she married the late Rooker Wells. They lived in the Magee area a few years and then moved to Collins. In 1956 she moved with her husband to Sierra Vista, Arizona where they lived for the next 25 years. She has made her home in Magee since 1982. Mrs. Wells was a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Kenneth Flynt, Dr. Joel Flynt, Donald Flynt, Larry Flynt, James M. Wells and Madison Wells.
She is survived by one daughter, Gussie Cole of Magee, one granddaughter, Lynda Cole De Blasio of Slidell, LA and two great grandsons, David De Blasio and Steven De Blasio of Slidell, LA and USM; and several nieces and nephews.
