Ernest Robeson, 73, died in Chewalah on Sunday. He was born on Oct. 3, 1894, in Rockford, Wash. He farmed in the Chewelah area for more than 40 years.

John Folson Post 54, American Legion, of which he was a member here for more than 40 years, will conduct services at 10 a.m. at the BryanChapel. The burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in St. John, Wash., at 2 p.m. that day.

Mr. Robeson spent two years overseas during World War I as a wagon carrier transporting ammunition to the front lines.

Surviving are his wife, Bessie of Chewelah; four sons, James of Chewelah; Edwin of Seattle; Joseph in the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa; and a sister, Mrs. Olive Robenson of St. John; a brother, Harmon Robenson of Asotin and 14 grandchildren.
