Obituary from the Greenville Advocate – June 21, 2011

Flora Kathleen Heartsill Harden, 87, a resident of Fort Deposit, Ala., died Monday, June 13, 2011. Funeral services were held Friday, at 10 a.m. at Bethel Methodist Church with Reverend Joe Lisenby officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing. A visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 196 Bell Rd. FT. Deposit , AL.36032. Survivors include: daughter, Denise (Craig) Grant, Ft. Deposit, Ala.; sons, Dwight Hardin, Portland ,Ore.; David (LaJune) Hardin, Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Nadine Bell, Ft. Deposit, Ala., Corrine Perdue, Freeport, Fla., Maxine Farnham, Montgomery, Ala., Christine Stein, Montgomery, Ala., Danice Costes, Lexington, Ky., Laurice Gorley, Montgomery, Ala.; brothers, Zollie Heartsill, Ft. Deposit, Ala., Richard Heartsill, Luverne, Ala., Clifford Heartsill, Maquoketa, Iowa, Henry Heartsill, Honoraville, Ala.; grandchildren, Sarah Bascue and Kelly Hardin, Portland, Ore. Chad Grant and Casey Grant , Ft. Deposit, Ala., Emily Hardin, Huntsville, Ala., Jacob Hardin and Katie Hardin, Birmingham, Ala. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Chelsea Grant and brother, James A. Heartsill, Jr. of Ft. Deposit, Ala., and sisters, Imogene Ham, Montgomery, Ala., and Faye Dantzler, Greenville, Ala.
