He was a past member of the Glendale Elks, a member of the Los Angeles Senior Citizens Band, the San Francisco Musicians Union Local No. 6, the Los Angeles Musicians Union Local No. 47, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Torrance. He was survived by his wife, Merle; a daughter, Phyllis Muro of Torrance; a son, William H. of Torrance; two grandchildren, Catherine Brumfelow and Roxanna Muro and a sister, Mary Tarantino of Denver, Colorado. Services were held Friday, July 26, 1974 at t1:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Ivy located within Halverson-Leavell Mortuary followed by local interment.
