Enos Detwiler, 76, who lived five and a half miles northeast of town in Harrison township, died Tuesday morning, on the farm where he spent his life. He was born October 14, 1856, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Detwiler. He was married to Lydia Mishler in 1905.
Mr. Detwiler suffered a stroke of paralysis last Nov. 12. He appeared to have recovered until two weeks ago when complications developed, and he became confined to his bed.
Surviving are his wife; five children, Walter, who lives near the home farm, Harvey Detwiler and Mrs. Harold Tavernier of Elkhart, Noble at home and Mrs. Robert Kent of Wakarusa; a brother, John Detwiler of Deerbrook, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. John Singer and Mrs. Susan Swoverland of Foraker; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be held today (Thursday afternoon) at the Yellow Creek Mennonite Brick Church, Rev. Charles Wright and Rev. A.B. Yoder, in charge.
Burial will be in the Chapel cemetery.
