She was the wife of the Rev John A Singer. They had moved from Wakarusa to Elwood about a year ago to reside with a son, Daniel, an official of the National Trailor Co.
Mrs Singer was born in Elkhart county April 3, 1872, a daughter of John and Martha Detwiller.
Her marriage to Mr Singer took place Sept 12 1891.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 sons, Daniel of Elwood, and Arthur of Milwaukee; 2 daughters, Mrs Myrtle Bontrager and Mrs Cora Zentz both of Elkhart, a brother, John Detwiler of Kempster, Wis; and one sister, Mrs Susan Swoveland of Elkhart.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm at the Yellow Creek Mennonite church, east of Wakarusa, in charge of the Rev John Duncan. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
