Blanche Schroeder

DAVENPORT - Blanche L. Schroeder, 92, of the Kahl Home for the Aged and Infirm, Davenport, died Sunday at the home.

Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Kahl Home Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport.

She was employed as a sales manager for the six Midwestern states for Spencer Inc., New Haven, Conn., for several years. She previously was employed as a proof reader for the Muscatine Journal, Muscatine, Iowa.

Blanche Fletcher married Adam Paul in 1920. He died in 1969. She married Charles Schroeder in 1982 in Davenport. He died in 1984.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport; and the Davenport Museum Guild.

Memorials may be made to the Kahl Home or St. Anthony's Care and Share Program.

Survivors include daughters, Cheryl (Mrs. Ralph H.) Ricketts, Bettendorf; and Joanne (Mrs. Harry) Whetter, Aurora, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth (Mrs. Lawrence) Cole, Muscatine; and brothers, Vance, Tipton, Iowa; and Donald, Davenport.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edmon Paul, in 1974.
